Lost and Found: Finding Little Billy’s Lost Favorite Toy Car Using a Rock Screener

The crying and screaming is relentless. Little 5-year-old Billy has lost his miniature toy car. There were a hundred more like it in the local toy store, for less than five dollars, but it was his first favorite toy. John figured he could use the small version of those Topsoil Screens, which he bought from EZ Screen, to sift through the dirt where his son said he had lost his toy. Getting to work on the warm, sunny afternoon, he began to pile dirt and rock into the portable, electrically-operated machine.
Working with this version of the portable screener, John piled another heap of dirt into the machine. He could still hear Billy crying, and felt so bad that he hadn’t yet found the car. It’s got to be somewhere. Then, he looked into the machine and saw a complete, yet dirty, miniature toy car. John wiped it off and said to Billy, “Look what I’ve found.” The boy suddenly stopped crying and yelled in excitement. Immediately, he was off playing racecar with it down the sidewalk.
