Many people never even think of starting their own business, yet for other people — those who are entrepreneurs at heart — it’s always at the back of their minds, at the very least.  But realistically, why would anyone want to?

Yes, that is a rhetorical question, and here’s the answer:

1. Because they like being their own boss.  I am very independent and don’t do well being micromanaged.  Being self-employed and running my own writing business has been a dream come true for me.
2. Because they want financial freedom.  At a typical job, you have to wait until you earn — or boss decides to give you — a raise before you can increase your income.  As a business owner, you can increase your income simply with hard work and devotion to your business.
3. Because they are interested in a franchise.  Some people don’t think of franchises when they think of owning their own business — but you should.  A franchise is just a ready-to-go small business, also know as turnkey business.  You don’t have to do anything.  Know of a franchise for sale?  It’s worth looking into!
4. Because they want to do things their way.  Not everyone wants to buy a franchise.  If you’re more independent, designing and building your own business from the ground up probably seems pretty appealing to you!

Whether you want to buy a business for sale or start your own, owning your own business is a wonderful experience that I would recommend to anyone!
